Fact: You can never have enough clothes or shoes. Am I right? Why yes, I am!

I have over thirty (or maybe closer to fifty) pairs of shoes but you know what kind I don't have...basic black pumps. Crazy, I know! How can I not own a pair? Basic black pumps should be the first heels a gal owns. They are a closet staple for goodness sakes. The heels I'm wearing in this post are the closest thing I have but even they have gold studs on them. So I am declaring it my mission to find the perfect black pumps to add to my closet. (I also don't have a lot of color in my footwear so I need to add some colorful shoes to my closet too). Wish me luck in my shoe shopping!

Rule Breaker

Y'all, I am so proud of myself for being a rule breaker and wearing white after Labor Day. You see, I'm a rule follower to a fault. I've never gotten a ticket, I never got in trouble at school (well, in forth grade I had to turn my card because I shoved a cupcake in my mouth but that was really just a warning). Basically I'm an angel (don't ask my family to confirm that statement).

I'm really working on being more adventurous and spontaneous. The other day the hubby pulled into a basically empty parking lot and parked the car in the wrong direction. I told him he wasn't allowed to park like that and then he said, "Kacie, I thought you were working on being adventurous?" So guess what...we parked the car the wrong way. How's that for adventurous?! And now I'm wearing white after Labor Day! I'm just breaking all the rules. I wonder what craziness I will do next.

Tired Face

By the time I got around to taking these pictures last Friday, I was exhausted. It's not that my whole body was tired, it was only my face. My eyes didn't want to be open all the way and my mouth was refusing to give a decent smile. It looked like I was growling at the camera (you know, just showing my teeth without actually smiling). Hence why I am not looking at the camera in these pictures. Tired face is not a good look for me. The rest of the evening was spent curled up on the couch watching Dr. Seuss' The Lorax. I even managed a real smile during the funny parts.

Where Oh Where Is Fall

It was 100 degrees the other day...ugh!!! I am so ready to add layers to my outfits but in this heat, a light scarf was all I could handle. And I still got looks like "who's that crazy lady wearing a scarf when it's so hot out?" Don't people know it's supposed to be fall by now! I'm hoping that if I start wearing more fall-ish items (like scarves, sweaters, and booties) mother nature will get the hint and send fall weather to California.

Gangsta

I’m feeling pretty gangsta (true gangsters don’t pronounce the ‘er’) in this outfit. Why? Because of my gold chain necklace, of course! Or as the hubby likes to call it, my gangsta necklace.  My mom said I just need a mohawk and I could pass for Mr. T. To be honest, I do like a good Eminem or Nelly song and when you add in this necklace, I am a pretty legitimate gangsta. Don’t all gangstas wear leopard heels??

What's In My Shoe?

So I'm walking around in these shoes when all of a sudden, I feel something inside the shoe touching my foot. My first thought is...SPIDER! (I have this fear of spiders in my shoes. I'm pretty sure that's where they like to hang out when they aren't in their web). I quickly fling off my shoe and see something fall to the ground. I slowly move closer to inspect the situation. Turns out it was just a penny. Good news, there's no spider living in my shoe and I am one cent richer. Really, could you ask for a better day?

Flare Jeans

I love flare leg jeans and think everyone should own a pair. Now I am going to convince you to get yourself some :) 

1. Worn with heels, they give the illusion of longer legs. Who doesn't want that?
2. Balances out a curvy figure.
3. You don't have to worry if your shoes match because nobody will see them. (my favorite reason for wearing flares)

When Nightmares Come True

You know that horrible nightmare where your husband comes home with home decor that he would like to hang around the house? Well, that nightmare came to life for me.

Normally, I like the hubby's taste in decoration. We even had a conversation the other day about how we want our house to have a country/garden feel to it (right now it's a little more on the western side). Then the hubby comes home with "treasures" (his words not mine). He "scored" five pieces of "artwork" from a coworker for free. You can't pass up a deal like that, right? Well, you can when the artwork is framed pictures of ducks, wolves, deer, ect. I hate it! I told the hubby, there's a reason his coworker had to get rid of the "artwork" and that reason  is that he just got married and his wife doesn't want it in her house. So why would I want it in mine?! The pictures definitely don't fit in the country/garden theme. Goodness gracious...men!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Wearing this tee makes me feel the need to go to a baseball game. First, I just need to find a team whose colors are pink and sparkle and I'll be their biggest fan. I'd cheer them on at all their games. I also need to get some knowledge on how the game is played so I know what I'm cheering for. But really how important is it to know the rules to the game? I know all the words to baseballs theme song "take me out to the ball game" and I have a baseball tee so I think I've got the main things covered.

Sister Perks

What is one of the perks to having a sister (other than having a best friend for life)? Getting to share clothes, of course! I stole (well, borrowed but I plan on never giving them back) five skirts from my sister last weekend. And this skirt happens to be one of them. Don't you just love it? I'm trying to convince my sister that she should just give it to me but haven't had much luck yet. I'm thinking that if everyone comments telling her that she needs to give it to me, she might give in to peer pressure. So come on, help a gal out and convince my sister that this skirt should be mine :)

You know how you have those days where you just can't find anything to wear and wish you could just stay in your p.j.'s all day? Well, pretty much all of August and most of September is like that for me. I am just so over the heat and ready for fall. But mother nature hasn't listened to me so far when I tell her fall should start on August 1st. So I have resorted to wearing clothes that feel like p.j.'s while I wait for fall to get here.
